Frequently Asked Questions About Thermal Media

What is the difference between thermal labels and thermal tags?
Thermal labels have adhesive on the back for adhering directly to products/packaging. Thermal tags do not have any adhesive and are used for hanging on garments/products or as shelf tags for product/price identification.  

Do I need a ribbon in my printer?
Ribbons are used only with thermal transfer labels and tags, not with direct thermal labels or tags.

Can I order in small quantity or broken case quantities?
All Cognitive items are available in single rolls or broken carton quantities and are priced accordingly.  Zebra items are sold by carton increments only. 

When will my stock order ship?
Orders received by 1 PM EST will ship the same business day when the item requested is in stock.  

How will my order ship?
Unless otherwise requested, all Continental US orders ship via UPS ground.  Iternational shipments will be determined by best method available.

Can I ship to multiple locations?
Yes, you are welcome to ship or drop-ship to a variety of locations.  Be sure to note in your order how many rolls/cartons will ship to each address.

How long will it take to manufacture my custom order?
Manufacturing times may vary due to differences in materials and presses, however, generally a 2 to 3 week lead time is standard.     

What is your return policy?
If you have ordered the incorrect stock item, please contact us at 800-243-9701 on ext 102 or 111.  Custom orders are not returnable.
